Lately

It's been awhile since I've posted about anything going on in my life, so thought I'd fill you in on what I've been up to:

I traveled to the big town of Florence,SC for an engagement party for my good friends Caroline and Nick!

The party was so nice and I loved getting to see friends that I rarely get to see!

I branched out in the music world and saw Big Gigantic at the Music Farm.  I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but discovered they mix techno with the sax and even a few of my fave rap jams!  So of course I loved it.

I've continued going to hip hop on Tuesday nights which I am really LOVING.  The Charleston City Paper released Best of Charleston 2011 yesterday and awarded the class "Best Fitness Class with a Cult-Like Following".  Well I guess I'm a part of that cult because I'm addicted.

I had a mid-week visit from my mom and Aunt which was a much-needed break.  I took a day off and it was so nice to walk around downtown Charleston and have lunch without all of the weekend traffic and tourists.  We had dinner both nights and plenty of wine!  After eating Basil with them one night and having my leftovers for lunch the next day, I realized I'd eaten Basil's Pad Thai for 4 meals in 7 days.  So ready for the one in Mt P to open up!

Speaking of, I found out from my buddy Joe that the taco restaurant opening on Sullivan's will be a Taco Mamacita!  His friend Michael Monen from Chatanooga is opening it in May.  I checked out the website and it appears we have a lot to look forward to!

And speaking of Joe, he's successfully taken a business venture into the world of Bloody Mary mix.  Fat and Juicy to be exact.  I will be dedicating a near future blog post on his product once my buds and I tap into these babies...

My friend from college, Cissy, got married in Charleston this past weekend.  She was SUCH a beautiful bride.

We stayed downtown so it was like a mini-vaca but after a weekend of parking garages and a lot of walking (which I really shouldn't complain about) I am thankful to live in Mt P!

This turned out to be a mother of a blog post.  Looking forward to a St Patty's celebration this weekend!  It will be hard to top last year but I'll try...
