Chelsea Time

I read over the weekend that E! is in the works of a new comedy show, After Lately.  It will be a comedy based on the backstage happenings of Chelsea Lately.  Just from watching her show, I get the idea that there is a whole lot of interesting going on back there!  Not to mention, I'm a "fan" of her show on Facebook and see frequent uploads like this:

This has the potential to be very entertaining!

In other Chelsea news, I cannot decide whether I think it is a publicity stunt or if Chels is ACTUALLY hanging with 50 Cent?!  I, too, have had a strange crush on him and his voice ever since hearing "In Da Club" my senior year of high school, so I could always relate to her when she spoke of her 50 crush.  But when it comes down to it, I don't think we'd be the most compatible (just a hunch) and I would have thought the same to be true for her!  But when images like this appear...

...you can't help but wonder!



Sweet Surprise and Pictures

Hello Friday!  This week has flown by.  This past weekend when I was home my mom surprised me with a pair of earrings that she ordered from my very talented friend, Caroline, who has started her own business Found Studio. 

I love them!  She also ordered a really cute pair for herself and was def a satisfied customer!  Check out her stuff, it's amazing!

Chefs Auction

On Thursday night I went to the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction.  La's boyfriend, Brian, invited Carlie and I to go along with them and the rest of his firm.  It was a really nice event and we had a great time!  I wish I had taken pictures.  Aside from all of the amazing food that was served by chefs from top restaurants around Charleston, there was a silent and live auction.  The live auction was so fun to watch and the prizes were really cool.  Brian picked out an item he was determined to win and, after some exciting out-bidding, he did!  The package he won is a holiday progressive dinner at Circa 1886.  Eight people are taken by horse-drawn carriages to Kings Courtyard Inn, Circa 1886 and the John Rutledge House Inn for different courses of a four-course meal.  The menu looks amazing.  My favorite part is that each place will be decorated for the holidays!  I plan to take pictures and get my blog on afterwards!

Pleasantly Surprised

Last night, Em and I went to see Life As We Know It ($5 Tuesday).  I was expecting a silly, slightly cheesy movie but didn't have much else on the agenda so I went for it.  The movie was great!  I love a good romcom and this is the best one I've seen in a long time, makes you laugh, cry and there is never a dull moment where the movie loses your attention.  I'm no movie critic, but I def recommend it!  It didn't totally suck staring at this for an hour and 52 minutes either:

The Gamecocks didn't get lucky, they out-played Alabama in every way on Saturday.  I was prepared for a close game, but never thought the outcome would be quite what it was.  My jaw was literally dropping throughout the entire game.  I loved seeing Spurrier smile!  There's no telling where we will go from here, this is Carolina football, but for now I am going to celebrate a win that no one can discredit, not even a Clemson fan!  Go Cocks!

Yobe

Earlier this week, Whitney and I discovered paradise in a cup.  We noticed a new frozen yogurt shop and decided to try it out.  I've been a huge advocate of FreshBerry ever since we got one downtown but immediately upon entering I knew this was better!  Imagine FB on steroids, and you have Yobe.  It's self-serve and there are several different yogurt options and granola, nuts, cereal, candy and fruit options for toppings.  You can get as much or as little as you like and they charge by the ounce ($4.99 for 12 oz).  I took a few pics:

Yobe is located in West Ashley in the Harris Teeter shopping center, they've only been open for a week, go try it out!

Hello My Name Is...

Yesterday I had a seminar in Columbia.  Just when I was feeling good about getting out of the O for the day, a nice change of scenery and having a little bit of freedom, I was greeted with this...

FML City.  I immediately snapped a pic and sent it to everyone who knows that this is something that would totally happen to me! 

Even though I was only in town for the day, I can never leave Cola without the one menu item I actually phene: Chicken Ranch Zone from Za's.  Heaven.  Last time I was there for the weekend, Carlie and I hit Za's on a Friday night for the CRZ and indulged ourselves again on Sunday before leaving town.  It's THAT good.  And, of course, I had to ride by Williams-Brice and got really pumped for the game this weekend!

The Kardashians = Crack

These shows are trash and I'm addicted.  Apparently, so are a lot of other people.  In January, yet another Kardashian show will premier; Kim and Kourtney Take New York.  Joining them in the big city are Scott and baby Mason.  Much like one of the first families to invite cameras into their home, the Osbournes, the Kardashians are so unconventional and wrong on so many levels, but at the end of the day they are family and they love each other.  I think that's part of the draw and why it is so entertaining.
As much as I love Khloe's humor and the sarcastic relationship between her and Kourt, she's staying in LA and I'm just fine with that.  It will give us a nice break from the PDA and baby voice, although, I'm sure she'll make a few cameos to tell Scott how much she hates him.  And no Kardashian show would be complete without crazy Kris getting in the middle of everyone's business and shamelessly trying to live the life of her daughters.  This ought to be a great waste of time!
