One of my favorite restaurant groups in Charleston is Dine with Sal.  Every single one of their restaurants is different with unique menus but they are all delicious, reasonably priced and have a comfortable atmosphere.  There are six different restaurants and some have more than one location:  Boulevard Diner, Longpoint Grill, Mustard Seed, Sette, Uno Mas, and Village Bakery.  If you live in Charleston or are just passing through, I recommend getting a bite to eat at any one of these, you wont be disappointed!

What Happens in Vegas...

Paris Hilton had one hell of a rough week. After having an armed intruder show up at her LA home last Tuesday morning, she and her beau headed to Vegas on Friday...only to end up in jail for drug possession. She dates the former head nightclub operator for the Wynn and Encore hotels (he lost his job after the arrest). The continuous flow of headlines seem to grab my attention more than they typically would due to a recent trip to Las Vegas.
Our last night in town, we found ourselves in XS sitting at a table with Paris, Nicky and their friends. Trying to play it cool and blend in, we stared wide-eyed at Paris while sipping on glasses of Cristal that never emptied.  After her and her crowd had had enough of XS, it was on to Tao. We scored this invite as well. At this point it was 4am, this being our third night in town we were running on pure adrenaline. After a couple of hours at Tao, which included Paris serenading everyone with "Stars are Blind", we realized this crowd was not tiring and, unfortunately (fortunately), we were. We had a flight to catch in a few hours and left P and her gang living it up like the night had just begun.  Maybe she had a little something in her purse?  It was announced today that Paris is now banned from the Wynn and Encore hotels.

"Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner"

One of my best friends actually had a guy say this to her on a date one time.  Needless to say, that didn't last.  That is not the reason for this post, but I thought it should be addressed.  Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite movies of all time.  I can recite it word for word and even perform a few dances.  Jennifer Grey (Baby) became a household name and face after the success of Dirty Dancing until a bad nose job quickly ended her career and her recognizability.  She has said of her procedure, "I went in the operating room a celebrity – and came out anonymous. It was like being in a witness protection program or being invisible."  Last night she was officially announced as a cast member on the new season of Dancing With The Stars (one of my faves).  A lot of time has passed--she is now 50 years old--but I'm hoping she can channel her inner Baby and shake it.  As much as I hate to admit it, I'm a huge sucker for reality TV.  So I'm equally excited to watch castmates Audrina Patridge from The Hills and The Situation from Jersey Shore.
